Over the next few weeks, it is likely you’ll be hearing more about the growing senior population and aging care needs across Minnesota. Legislators have returned to the State Capitol for the 2016 legislative session and it is expected elderly issues will, once again, be on the agenda.

Last year, legislators approved historic senior care reform to help ensure Minnesota seniors will have the quality care they need now and in the coming years. For seniors and caregivers, the 2015 reform means:

•Residents are benefiting from more consistent care and more innovative care options
•Caregivers at nursing homes throughout the state are getting paid more

As legislators return to senior issues during this session, we invite you to check back often here on FaceAgingMN.org and to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest developments.
