Kathleen Currie has helped provide care to seniors for over 25 years. “I love taking care of the elderly,” says Kathleen.
Kathleen’s favorite part of caregiving is being able to improve the daily lives of those she serves. “The best part is interacting and making their day better,” she says. As an advocate for aging in place, she’s also passionate about helping her residents stay in their homes as long as possible with the right care and services.
For Kathleen, one challenge of caregiving comes when the elders she cares for go out to eat. “There are no restaurants that I know of that have automatic doors,” explains Kathleen. “Trying to open a door and get a wheelchair through is not easy.”
Kathleen says senior care issues are important to all Minnesotans. “We are all heading that way.”
