“I think it’s important that we honor our seniors,” says Milaca resident Faye Thayer, daughter of a Minnesota senior. “They have much wisdom to offer us for our future.”
Faye’s mother still lives independently but has begun to need daily check-ins and help with cooking and housekeeping. Faye says it makes all the difference when her mom has people to help. The most rewarding part of helping her mother navigate the aging journey is seeing her getting the help she needs to age well.
Faye emphasizes that senior care issues should matter to all Minnesotans. “If we are lucky, we will all be a senior someday.”
